Councilmember Eli Hill
Eli Hill was born and raised in San Francisco and has lived across the Bay Area before settling in San Rafael, the place he and his family now proudly call home. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Eli first joined the San Rafael City Council when he was appointed to complete the term of former Councilmember (now Mayor) Kate Colin. Before that, he served on both the Planning Commission and the Fire Commission, working closely on the local issues that shape daily life in our community. Most recently, he served as Immediate Past President of the Marin County Council of Mayors and Councilmembers (MCCMC), collaborating with leaders from across the county.
Professionally, Eli works as a Senior Director at a consulting firm that partners with public-sector agencies. He helps government organizations use data and modern technology to improve services, strengthen decision-making, and deliver better outcomes for residents.
Eli lives in District 2 with his wife, Siobhán, and their two children.
